Irradiator Systems
Irradiator systems are devices or a set of instruments (installation) that use ionising radiation for various industrial and medical purposes. Depending on the type, irradiator systems can be used to sterilise objects (like surgical tools), test or change the physical or chemical properties of an object (such as in plastic production), or as a form of treatment (radiotherapy).
Hopewell Designs manufactures irradiator systems, and can provide standard (off the shelf) or bespoke units for a diverse range of industries worldwide, including Australia.
If you are looking for a specific irradiator system for your application, the ADM Nuclear Technologies team can help you select the most suitable type for your needs, as well as support you with installation, as we have supported many local companies over the years. Contact our team here.
Different Types and Uses of Hopewell Designs Irradiator Systems
Gamma Irradiator Systems
The Hopewell gamma irradiator range is used for health physics instrument calibrations, quick calibration of radiation detection instruments, teletherapy level calibrations, and for testing instruments at low energy.
Self-Contained Irradiator Systems
Hopewell’s fully shielded self-contained irradiators are used for instrument calibration, R&D, and medical applications, such as blood irradiation and sterilisation of medical instruments.
Neutron Irradiator Systems
Hopewell’s neutron irradiator provides a panoramic radiation field used primarily for instrument and dosimetry calibrations. It is commonly placed in a low-scatter room and can be supplied with a full complement of accessories, which include linear positioning systems, video monitoring, and safety systems.
X-ray Irradiator Systems
Hopewell x-ray calibration irradiators are designed specifically for instrument and dosimetry calibration. These fully shielded irradiators take up minimal space, and are an excellent choice for R&D, cell culture irradiation, and high-dose applications.
Beta Irradiator Systems
Hopewell beta irradiators are specially designed for calibration of dosimetry and survey meters.
