Dosimeters and Exposimeters

Dosimeters and exposimeters are devices used for radiation detection. The key difference between the two is that dosimeters measure the radiation dose absorbed by the human body, while exposimeters measure radiation levels in the surrounding environment (external exposure). 

With over 30 years of experience, Sarad is one of Germany’s leading companies specialising in the design and manufacture of environmental monitoring instruments, including both dosimeters and exposimeters. 

The following Sarad instruments are available from ADM Nuclear Technologies: 

• DOSEman – Personal Radon Exposimeter / Dosimeter  

This model is lightweight, compact and wearable. 

• DOSEman PRO – Radon Daughter Product Dosimeter (filter available) 

DOSEman PRO can continuously measure radon progeny concentration, which makes it suitable for high-risk environments such as mining operations.

• MyRIAM – Personal Dosimeter for Inhalation Dose 

MyRIAM measures the inhalation dose from exposure to long-living Alpha and Beta nuclides (LLRD) in the breathing air.
